What I Wore - Remnants of Summer

I swear I've had this dress in my closet for the last five years and it still had tags on it...smh.  That's one sign you have way too many clothes. Anyho, I LOVE, LOVE color and I love being able to pair such a colorful dress with neutral sandals.  Ummm, this is my second time wearing these. I've had them longer than I've had the dress. Totally forgot about them.  Judge not, lest though be judged.

Happy Monday, Glamorous Ones! Although I've started a whole new blog, I'm going to be bringing a few (just a few), things over from the old one.  As I mentioned in my 'Welcome' post, being a mom is now a major part of my life.  Here's a video I uploaded last month on how my first year of motherhood went down.  Enjoy!

 

Cocktails With CoverFX

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending an event by CoverFx, debuting their new CC Creams. I previously got samples from Sephora and loved them!! So, when I was invited to attend, I sorta planned my N'awlins vacation around it (shhhhh, don't tell hubby). I have been playing with the CoverFX brand for awhile now.  Their products are paraben free (which is a major plus for me), they host a range of colors for brown women and a little goes along way; especially with the liquid products.  I'm not going to go on and on about the products in this post.  Stay tuned for a full review of the cream.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

On a recent trip to my general practitioner, I was asked if I do regular breast exams.  It was a simple question, to which I answered no. I've always used the excuse that because my Ta-ta's were huge, I didn't know how.  THAT IS NOT A VALID REASON.  So this month going forward, I will be trying to conduct regular self-exams on myself.  Being healthy is very important to me and we already know that early detection is the best prevention. 

See the diagram below of possible signs/symptoms of breast cancer.  If anything feels or looks different, please make an appointment with your doctor.

Welcome to the Glamorous Entry

Welcome to my new blog! With the change of seasons, comes new beginnings. My life has drastically changed in the past year (birth of my daughter after a seven year infertility struggle, lost my day job, made ten years of marriage two weeks ago, finally figured out one of my purposes in this life, etc.), so I thought now is the perfect time to resurrect myself.  I was the previous editor of a fashion and beauty blog, The BrownFace BEE, but my role has changed so much as a woman that I would like to bring that to my new venture.  Fashion and Beauty will always be my first loves and will still be a major part of this blog, but there is so much more to my life now and I will be bringing ALL of that here.

My miracle baby, made such a GLAMOROUS entry into this world (ummm, she came arrived last year on my birthday!!!) and I've always been a GLAMOROUS woman no matter what's going on in my life, no matter where I'm going, thru the struggles and the victories.  I'm excited about this new chapter.  Won't you join me?
